Gryphon Phantom
 OverviewBased on the Panther design, the Phantom represents Gryphon's experiment in sleeker, more streamlined hovercrafts. It shares most of its power systems with the Talon, although due to its sleeker design and engine programming, it can attain a higher top speed than the Talon. It also is unique in that it is one of the few crafts that use their shape to aide in cornering. The craft has a large flap on either side of the body which can be raised to create drag on that side, thus causing the craft to turn. Both flaps can be raised to aide the craft in quick stops as well. In addition, the front spoiler can adjust itself to create drag, although to a much smaller effect than the rear flaps. A rare feature for high-performance hovercrafts, the Phantom also features a small backseat, allowing for up to 4 passengers (although the rear seat is rather cramped). |
