Bureau of Tourism
Overview
The Bureau of Tourism is the executive department of the SW City government responsible for the regulation of the city tourism industry and the promotion of the city as a tourist destination.
The staffed group, which is on duty 24/7, is responsible for directing new visitors as well as giving out information about important sites around the city. Tourism workers are mostly found around Town Square Park and at a few historical sites. The group was founded after 48 local businesses petitioned for it, complaining that they were losing too much business due to lost potential customers.
