Information

Fraser Sound is a place of austere beauty along the southwestern shore of the Irenic Ocean. It partially fills the remanant of vocanic hot spot that has long since been dormant. Today it is home to a small fishing community, and is spawning grounds to the endangered Fraser Salmon who are attracted by the mixture or freashwater and saltwater that permeates the sound. Measures have been put in place in a effort to increase the numbers of these fish, but so far little change has been seen in the population.
