Duranium

Duranium is currently the strongest man made metal alloy, and also the heaviest weighing in at 1139.2 lbs per cubic foot. With the advent of space travel, new demands in metal alloys were created. In 1999, CommieCorp scientists invented Duranium, made by a top secret mixture of minerals and composed together using a pressure sphere. The prototype was just a sugar-cube sized block, but after 5 years a duranium factory was built to mass produce it. SW Army stepped in and protected the technology, paying CommieCorp to not share the technology with anyone but between themselves.

Duranium, also known as Durasteel, is primarily used to build spacecraft hulls. It also has potential to be used in super-tall skyscrapers.
